Another step of our assignment about Erimtan Museum was related to its staircases. Luckily the one given -located in the library of the museum- to our team is really unique and involves many perspectives to be discussed.
The area where the staircase is located is really narrow. The horizontal distance between the first stair and the last one is really small for a staircase which is too high like this so that the angle of the staircase is bigger and more inclined than a usual staircase. That is what differs it from others. For the aim of making suitable stairs for a human body in a narrow area by ensuring this kind of an height, it is admittedly a great idea to make it as an intersection of two staircases to obtain several stairs in which a human foot can fit onto.
Since both two sides of the staircase are too high to step on and the measurement of the middle is more advisable for a human body, the middle part is the one which used most frequently. I should confess that during our examination I was tend to use the sides since the middle seemed too dangerous and too upright to climb for me. However, the main users I mean the workers of library said that they always prefer the middle. So, I was an exception.Besides, dimensions of the sides are good enough to sit conveniently.
Through our observations our target on the model become to emphasize the middle via layering, since the sides are not used often and both the movement and speed of the movement are more intense there.
